# GuruHits

GuruHits was an online music quiz (1997-2014): players heard a five-second clip and named the song or artist. It launched on 20 September 2001, built by a single developer on a now-vanished stack (Apple HyperCard, NetCloak, WebSTAR) and licensed for short song clips by SABAM. The original stack, song database, high-score tables, audio clips, screenshots, and licensing correspondence were recovered and are documented on this site.
